Kinetic Studies on Decolourization of Amaranth Dye by Solar/H2O2 Process

Decolourisation of Anionic cum acidic azo dye Amaranth was carried out by an Advanced Oxidation Process Solar/H2O2. Dye samples concentration 100 mg/L taken in 250 ml conical flasks that were treated with 30% H2O2 and exposed to sun light the intensity range 60,000-90,000 lux. The impact various parameters decolourisation like initial concentration, pH, solar intensity, additives temperature studied view kinetics. All reactions system follow pseudo-first order Conditions optimized, optimum pH found be 12 650 mM achieve 100% decolourization 30 minutes. Impact can adding chloride dihydrogen phosphate ion 1 M concentration. Then, mineralization is COD removal. UV-visible spectrometric analysis done study degradation level.
